PhD Candidate in NLP

Biography

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Sheffield, funded by the UKRI CDT in Speech and Language Technologies programme. My research, supervised by Prof. Nikolaos Aletras, explores language modeling and the interpretability of large language models (LLMs). I have published in leading venues such as ACL and EMNLP.

Prior to my PhD, I worked as a Machine Learning and Software Engineer at companies including DnaNudge and The Range in the UK, where I developed and deployed NLP-powered systems at scale. I also completed a research internship with Amazon’s AGI Foundations team, contributing to a project on multilingual LLMs.

I hold an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Manchester, where I worked on information extraction from historical medical archives project in my master’s dissertation.
